Asterismyth – Music About the Constellations and Mythical Figures at Half Note Jazz Club
On Wednesday, November 26 2025, Asterismyth performed at the historic Half Note Jazz Club, one of the city's most important music venues, presenting their live project to a warm and enthusiastic audience. The ensemble, performing the original compositions of Stefanos Kozanis, offered a complete musical narrative inspired by constellations and mythical figures, presenting a suite of 12 works performed in continuous flow. The performance combined the creative freedom of jazz with elements of classical music and Greek tradition, while incorporating poetry, narration, and song, delivering an artistic experience of high aesthetic quality where composition and improvisation coexisted organically.

A highlight of the evening was the special and friendly participation of Finnish trumpeter Jykä Ahola, who added a distinctive lyricism with his clear, bright lines and inspired improvisational solos, playing a key role in the overall atmosphere of the concert. Among other contributions, Jykä performed on the premiere of the new composition “Pisces”, with music by Stefanos Kozanis and lyrics/vocals by Katerina Konstantinou, adding a unique character to the piece.
The evening concluded in a warm and intimate atmosphere, with the audience responding enthusiastically to the work of Asterismyth. Upcoming performances of the ensemble in Greece and abroad are already being planned.

On Thursday, June 12, a truly enchanting evening unfolded at the National Observatory of Athens, on the historic Hill of the Nymphs. The event "Asterismyth – Music for Constellations and Myths" took place in front of the Observatory’s iconic building, in a packed open-air venue where music, poetry, mythology, and stars came together under the night sky.
The ensemble Asterismyth, performing original compositions by Stefanos Kozanis, presented 12 musical pieces inspired by constellations and mythical figures from Greek mythology. As the music resonated, the actual constellations illuminated the sky above the audience and the musicians, enhancing the experience with celestial presence.
Blending elements of jazz, classical music, and Greek tradition, the performance was enriched by live poetry, narration, and song, offering a unique and immersive artistic encounter.

Asterismyth debut album presentation was held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the Athens Concert Hall, with the kind support of Jazz Breeze Records. September 21th, 2024 – "Asterismyth" funding campaign completed successfuly
Dear Friends, Thanks to your overwhelming love and support, we are thrilled to announce that the campaign for our album, “Asterismyth”, has reached its funding goal! Your generosity has made it possible for us to produce CDs, sheet music, and other exclusive items that will help bring our music to life and share it with the world. We are incredibly grateful and will be thanking each of you personally.
As a first step, we’ll reach out during the digital release of the album in about a month, ensuring you receive your digital copy as promised. By mid-November, we expect to have the CDs and other materials ready, and we will contact you again with details about their distribution. We’re also excited to invite you to our upcoming concert, where we’ll be performing music from the album for the first time! Join us on Saturday, September 28th, at Jazzet Hall for this special event (details linked at the end). More announcements regarding the official album launch event will be shared later this Fall. March 9th, 2024 – Alogokrito boite
A cosy musical evening took place at "Alogokrito", the beautiful venue that hosted Asterismyth first live presentation in a sold-out event. The band members K. Konstantinou, D. Maragaritis, S. Kozanis, K. Patsiotis and N. Sidirokastritis, performed twelve new compositions inspired by the Star Constellations and Greek Mythical Figures. Orion, Gemini, Leo, Perseus, Hercules, were among them. New live concerts will be announced soon.
